As of this writing on Sunday, August 28 at 5:05pm, so called Tropical Storm Irene has been with us for hours although the rain has pretty much stopped. The wind, however, is just howling , and the lake, laced with whitecaps and swells, looks like the ocean on a rough day! Nasty! Really nasty! Your Commodore has already heard stories of battered docks and boats that have disappeared, so share with us your experiences! One thing for sure, we do not need any more of this weather on normally beautiful Lake Cobbosseecontee!
