Lake Cobbosseecontee is fortunate to have many acres of land on some of its most beautiful islands dedicated to the public through the Kennebec Land Trust. To find more information regarding the property in question, go to their website at www.tklt.org. There you will find maps of properties involved, public programs offered, volunteer opportunities, and another very important opportunity.......how you can become a member of the KLT.
Kennebec Land Trust tentatively plans to hold a fund raiser at the home of Dr. Winston and Chris Kipp located on the northeast shore of Cobbossee in Manchester on Sunday, October 17, 2010. Contact Executive Director Theresa Kerchner at 207-377-2848 for further details.
And, KLT needs our help! As we visit these wonderful island preserves and walk their beautiful trails, let's remember to be continuously respectful of the property. Observe the posted regulations and if you do see any signs of vandalism, please contact the KLT!
