KHS has moved to its magnificent new home shown here on Winthrop Street in Augusta. Formed originally in 1891, KHS has as its mission, "To collect, preserve and share" the written and photographic records of Kennebec County. It has a very impressive collection that includes newspapers dating to 1825, massive amounts of primary documents, photographs, reference books, and postcards etc.
