The early morning weather looked iffy for sure, but the forecasters said that it would burn off, and burn off it did. We experienced a lot of clouds, which was probably a good thing as the humidity was intense, but you all came and we had just a fantastic afternoon on the lake! School Street Band was awesome! And our fishnet tour broke all records with over $1200 collected. Thanks to all for being so generous!

Thanks as well to Molly and Carissa for collecting, Bill for driving, and the Richards for providing the craft. Thanks also go to the Staneks for providing the dock, Dr. White and Paul for use of the property, and it was also great to have the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed on board the Otter selling ice cream. They must have done well! People all seemed to be in a real giving mood that day.
So there it is. Another fine time on the water in Horseshoe Cove. Now plan to join us on July 31 at 5pm for our first annual "Boat-in/Raft-in." Bring your own hors d'oeuvres and just enjoy some good company! Weather permitting of course.

School Street is just a perfect group for this social event!
Look very carefully at the photo above and you will see one of two chicks following the Mom and Pop, and the other you can just barely see over the back of the second adult loon. What a sight. Always! Lets hope they exited the cove before too many boats arrived!
