On Sunday, August 19, 2007 the Cobbosseecontee Yacht Club, the Cobbossee Sailing Fleet, and The Birches Campground hosted a sailing regatta at the south end of the lake at the campground. This event featured some fine racing, time to chat with others who enjoy the love of sailing, and the opportunity to have a great time on a Sunday afternoon on Cobbossee. Food was provided as well so just how could you go wrong? And, remember to click on the hand when it appears over the photo.

Awards time. Robin Salvatore, part of today's fabulous Committee Boat crew along with CYC Vice Commodore, Bill Kieltyka. As well. Angela was there to assist, Evelyn recorded the results and drove the boat. Thanks to all who helped make the Regatta a success. It couldn't have been done without you!

The Mystery of the Missing Mark
Apparently, thanks were ready to go out to a boater in a green inboard outboard for helping pick up one of the marks used in this Regatta; however, said boater (believe it or not) just disappeared with that mark. So, thanks a lot for nothing! If you happen to see a bright orange racing bouy (mark) hanging around a green boat, it could well belong to the Cobbossee Sailing Fleet! And to the " helpful gentleman" involved, you might consider dropping off that mark at the CSF headquarters on Molizigan Island as it is used on a regular basis. Thanks!
Post race.....lots of laughs to share!
Did you attend one of the Thursday evening races off Molazigan Island this summer? Why not sit down, grab a 2008 calander, and mark off Thursday evenings! Sail over or drag your sailboat over! However you get there, get there and enjoy the fun!
Thursday CSF races are just fun to watch. Come on over!
In fact, bring your boat and join the fun!
And even enjoy the beautiful Cobbossee sunsets!
