David, Bill, and former Commodore, Hugh Stephens our current Keeper of the Light, are ready to relax at the Vice Commodore's house on the evening of January 4, 2009. Hugh and his wife, Betty, were at their home on the lake to celebrate the beginning of a new year and to get a brief respite from Port Washington, NY where they are both still very busy! Hugh, in fact, is now teaching at a nearby college! Take a look at a portion of his recent email to the Commodore:
"I have been appointed Adjunct Instructor at SUNY Maritime College in the Bronx and begin teaching Lifeboat Handling, Firefighting and a Distress Radio Operation January 14, 2009. I will be at SUNY Maritime 3 days a week and Kingsborough Community for 2 days."
How about that! What a guy! Congratulations Hugh!

Here's Commodore David along with a very happy-to-drive Ashton, his number one grandson. In fact this would be his only grandson, although he has 6 really super granddaughters, all number one to him!!! How about that.
Commodore Dave mixes up the raffle tickets in the basket held by Diane Schrader, CYC Merchandise Chair, at the Marstons Boat-in on September 6, 2008.
Vice Commodore Bill Kieltyka and his wife Evelyn were the winners of that wonderful Paul Plumer drawing of our lighthouse! Congratulations!
COMFORT II
So.....keep your eye out for your Commodore, his wife Vivian, and their wondrous dog Amos (see below) as they cruise our gorgeous Lake Cobbosseecontee on a very regular basis. They will be seen in this Playbouy party barge with the burgundy top and plastic sides. That protection allows many extended hours on the lake, sometimes regardless of the temperature! Please wave and say, "Hello."
Bon voyage!
Watch for the blue Commodore's flag flying on the starboard side aft. Give us a wave!
Is this the current CYC Commodore? Not quite for sure! The current Commodore has probably never caught fish like this old guide, Fawn Mason, displays here in this antique photo!
"And a grand ole time was had by all."
Can you pick out some of the CYC Officers and Executive Committee members in the following photos taken at activities during the summer of 2006. As you can tell, our activities are definitely "good times." Take advantage of your opportunity to become a member of the Cobbosseecontee Yacht Club and participate with us this coming summer!
