Lakeside Motel and Cabins in East Winthrop was the place to be on the evening of May 20, 2009. A special event hosted by Andy and Sheree Wess along with the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed was a Winthrop Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce event. Different for this year's BBQ was the invitation extended to members of the Cobbossee Yacht Club, and that acted as a beginning to CYC's regular schedule of so-called Boat-in/Drive-ins which formally begin on June at the home of Debbi and John Farrell in Monmouth.
This year's Business After Hours event again featured an old fashioned cook-out with the traditional burgers, dogs, salads, chips and, we might add, some mighty fine beverages! As well, clark Marine was on hand giving boat rides on this beautiful evening for anyone so inclined.
