Welcome to our website from your Commodore. We have now been up-and-running since January 11, 2007 (second birthday of Amos, the Welch Corgi) and I am pleased that you have found us. Continue to return as we are ever expanding. Since our initial run of 6 pages, we are now at many, many pages loaded with information and photographs. We hope that you continue to enjoy our site!
Send your comments about our site, send along interesting lakeside stories, amusing anecdotes, whatever. And by all means, if you have interesting photos to share, send them along as well. Clearly we will not be able to publish everything, and we will likely have to edit due to time and space constraints, but our intent is to try to keep the site interesting so that you will want to come back.

Grandkids First Ride!
On the evening of May 25, 2007, with the temperature hovering at a balmy 84 degrees, three of our grandkids took their first boat ride of the season. It was an eventful trip with numerous sightings of other boats, especially many pontoon boats, and also some bird activity as well. The only disappointing part of the trip, although exciting for the girls, was finding loons nesting on Picnic Rock. Little does Mama loon realize what an active location she selected for her nest. We only hope that all respect her privacy. We'll keep you posted!
How common a sight is this?
Spring and its numerous storms certainly brought its share of more destruction along the shores of Lake Cobbosseecontee! Cruise our lake and that becomes quickly obvious! This downed tree, in a photo by your Commodore, is just one remote example.

But sometime this "First Mate" just likes to relax!
