4th Annual Lighthouse Regatta Sunday, August 7, 2011
Rest assured that the weather on Sunday August 7 was not as enjoyable as that of the preceding day! What was a nice warm dry day turned overnight into a nasty, cloudy, wet, often very wet, foggy day out near our lighthouse. But the 4th annual Lighthouse Regatta went on as scheduled, and the racers involved did not seem overly disturbed by the conditions; in fact, all seemed to have a very enjoyable afternoon of racing followed by the annual CYC sponsored lobster feed.
Yum!
Race results for the afternoon were as follows.
First place: Sid Sewall Second place: Mike Gaffney Third place: Mark Gaffney Fourth place: Guy Polyblank
Thanks to all of the Laser racers that participated and let's all look forward to next year!
And, back on dry land, the following awaits.....
YES! A lobster dinner from the Lighthouse Wine and Seafood Market under a bed of steam!
The folders and.....
The watchers.....
Cloudy! Wet! Often very wet! Foggy! FUN!
Sing it out! Let's all go to the races, let's all go to the races, let's all...
Lighthouse refinished in July of 2011!
