CYC Ladies Delight Lighthouse 100th Anniversary Celebration August 9, 2008
During the weekend of August 9, CYC formally dedicated the plaque recognizing the major donors of the 2001-2005 lighthouse restoration project and honored its 100 year old historic lighthouse on Ladies Delight Island. A photo look at the events will arrive soon! Keep watch!
CYC also commissioned local artist Paul Plummer to do an original pen and ink drawing of the lighthouse specifically in honor of the celebration, and signed and numbered prints are now available at a cost of $45, and unsigned prints are available for $25. We have a limited supply, so plan to buy yours soon.
Plan now to purchase what is surely to become a great collector's item.
100 years old! This was an important celebration indeed. And very successful!
The party, held at the home of Charlie and Lucie McCarthy featured catering by the Augusta Country Club and music by the very talented group, The Downeast Brass.
Thanks to J.S. McCarthy Printers, sponsor of this important event.
And, here it is!
This is a photograph of our Ladies Delight Island Lighthouse print done by Paul Plummer. It is a fine, pen and ink drawing, 11 x 17, and was the feature of a CYC summer raffle, won by Bill and Evelyn Kieltyka who promptly gave it back to the CYC! Many thanks to the Kieltykas for their belief that this treasure ought to be forever in the possession of our yacht club!
Indeed, this is a must have! Order you print today!
